Parker and Family Fall Pictures

Even though it was technically Fall when I headed out to Noelridge park with Parker, Crystal and Brian, there were still lots of flowers in bloom and lots of green for us to get some awesome photos in the park. It was especially nice that there were flowers that matched the Iowa State cardinal and gold school colors!

Here are a few of my favorites from our Fall Photo shoot.

Kristi and TJ Engagement Session

Oh my goodness! Well over a month since my last post! Well, we won't worry about that too much. I've got a pretty big backlog of Fall Pictures, Christmas Pictures, Horse Pictures, and all kinds of things that I'll be posting in the coming weeks.

First though, I thought I'd share with you some pictures from Kristi and TJ's Engagement Session at Brosh Chapel in Solon. Although the week leading up to our time together had been pretty cold and cloudy, we had a breakthrough in good weather. Clear blue skies and beautiful weather, when combined with a couple who are as fun as Kristi and TJ make for great portraits.

Here are a few of my favorites from that day. Congratulations to the both of you - I'm looking forward to the wedding!

Jill and Antoine's Wedding

I always enjoy the work I get to do as a Wedding Photographer. There's something about the whole day that I just enjoy, and find very magical. That enjoyment jumps to a whole other level when the day is spent watching good friends get married.

Jill and Antoine, good friends of my wife and I, got married here in Cedar Rapids a few weeks ago. An intimate ceremony, pictures in the park, and a fantastic French meal at Croissant Du Jour all seemed to fly by. But it was great seeing them thoroughly enjoy their day, along with friends and family from all over.

Thank you so much for inviting me to capture the pictures of your day Jill and Antoine, you both looked great! We wish you the best of luck on this new journey together.

Anna and Matt's Wedding with Mo Co. Creative

As July drew to a close, I had another opportunity to work as the candid photographer for Mo Co. Creative Services. It was fantastic working with Molly again, but also fun just to be in the company of Matt and Anna, who were having a great time on their wedding day. And with such a beautiful ceremony, and wonderful friends and family around, it was easy to see why!

Here are a few of my favorites from the day. Congratulations again Anna and Matt!

Lily's First Birthday

This past Saturday, I had the opportunity to do something I haven't done in almost 30 years... attend a First Birthday party!

Stephanie invited me over to help capture some memories of Lily's First Birthday party, so she could focus on other things, like a quick bath after the awesome cake devouring. :)

Here are a few of my favorites from the day, mostly just focused on what Lily got to do. From running around the living room, to eating cake, to opening presents, to what looked like seeing her first leg in a cast! No matter what she was doing, she was being adorable.

Thanks for sharing some cake Lily, it was delicious!

Dawn, Eric and Family in the Park

Noelridge Park in Cedar Rapids is a pretty cool place to take some pictures. They've got all kinds of flowers that are planted by volunteers, and plenty of open space for kids to run around in. Sherin and I met up with Dawn and Eric's kids, Evan and McKinzie (my very first subjects by the way!), and had a chance to chase them around the flowers and open space.

We grabbed a few good family shots, and plenty of the kids running around and having a good time. Here are a few for you to enjoy.

Thank you Dawn, Eric, Evan and McKinzie!

Jack and Jenny Preview

More nice weather in Eastern Iowa means more outdoor photography! This time I went out to Bever Park in Cedar Rapids to meet up with Jenny and her son Jack.

Jack's got a new sibling on the way shortly, and it was really neat to watch him interact with his soon-to-be brother or sister. Of course Jack was a lot of fun by himself too. Little did I know Bever Park is full of all kinds of hills and trails for me to run all over trying to catch him!

Thank you Jenny! And good luck with the new addition to your family!
